Locked out, snapped your key in the door, lost your keys, or had a break-in? Stay where you are. A real Leeds locksmith — not a call centre — can be with you in around 30 minutes, get you in without wrecking the door wherever we can, and there's no call-out fee to pay.
Card payments taken on the doorstep. Gain entry from £65.
Whatever's happened, you're in the right place
From a Yale latch that's dropped to a forced door at midnight — we handle every kind of emergency lock entry across Leeds and West Yorkshire.
Door pulled shut, keys inside, latch dropped on a Yale. We use non-destructive entry — picking, slipping, the right tool for that exact lock — so your door stays intact.
Half the key's still in the lock and won't budge. We extract it cleanly, then either fit a new key or change or replace your lock if it's damaged.
We'll get you in, then either re-key the cylinder or fit a new lock so nobody else can use those missing keys. Insurance-friendly anti-snap cylinders carried on the van.
Fast re-entry, then we make the door safe so you can sleep. We carry burglary repair and make-safe parts and can upgrade to an anti-snap lock on the same visit — anti-snap cylinders account for around 25% of West Yorkshire burglaries.
Authorised access to a tenanted or empty property, ID checked, no fuss. We regularly attend for landlord emergency locksmith Leeds callouts and can invoice on account.
Shopfronts, offices, fire-exit and shutter issues, out of hours. Commercial emergency access handled with the same speed and professionalism as residential.
It's the school run with a baby still in the car seat. It's 11pm on a Friday after a long shift. It's a landlord ringing because a tenant's been locked out and the agent's office shut hours ago. It's the worst feeling in the world — coming home to a forced door.
We're All About Locks, and we're properly local. Our engineers live and work around Leeds — they know the difference between a tired uPVC gearbox in a Pudsey semi and a stubborn old mortice in a Headingley back-to-back. When you ring, you speak to someone who actually does the job. Not a national call centre that books you in, quotes you blind, and sends whoever's nearest.
Most of the time we get people back in without so much as a scratch on the door. We pick it, we slip it, we use the right tool for that exact lock. Drilling is the last resort, not the first move — because the first move is how a lot of firms turn a £30 problem into a £200 one. You'll know the price before we touch anything, and if we somehow can't get you in, you don't pay. Simple as that.
So put the kettle on at the neighbour's, or sit tight in the car. Tell us where you are. We'll do the rest.
Every feature we offer connects to a real benefit — especially at 3am when you need a 24 hour locksmith near me who actually shows up.
No hold music, no being passed around — straight talk from someone who can actually help, at 3pm or 3am.
You're not stuck outside half the night. Help is genuinely on its way — fast. Tell us your postcode for an honest ETA before we set off.
Your door, lock and frame usually stay intact. We use lock picking, cylinder bypass and specialist tools first — so you're not paying for new parts you didn't need.
Plenty of firms charge £50–£95 just to turn up. You don't pay us a penny to attend. You pay for the work, nothing else.
No nasty surprise on the doorstep, no "well, it took longer than I thought" once the job's done. You agree the price, then we work.
You can be confident about who you're letting near your home or business — especially at night. Every engineer is vetted, Checkatrade approved and SafeContractor registered.
If your keys are lost or the lock's snapped, we can usually fit a proper, insurance-friendly replacement — including TS007 3-star and SS312 Diamond anti-snap cylinders — on the same visit. No return trip needed.
No dashing to a cash machine in your slippers. We take all major debit and credit cards.
Here's what a typical emergency access call-out includes — and what the same job tends to cost across West Yorkshire in 2026.
| What's included | Typical elsewhere (W. Yorkshire) | All About Locks |
|---|---|---|
| Call-out / attendance fee | £50–£95 | £0 |
| Out-of-hours premium (eve/weekend) | Often +£40–£70 | £0 (confirm with us when you call) |
| Non-destructive entry attempt first | Varies — some go straight to drilling | Always — drilling is last resort |
| Honest fixed quote before work | Not always | Always, before we touch the lock |
| "No fix, no fee" guarantee | Rare | Included |
| 12 months parts & labour guarantee | Varies | Included on all fitted parts |
| 90-day workmanship guarantee | Varies | Included |
| Typical emergency total | £150–£250 | From £65 + no call-out fee |
Figures shown for comparison are general West Yorkshire market benchmarks for 2026, not quotes. Your price depends on the job and is confirmed before any work begins.
If we can't get you in, you don't pay. There's nothing to lose by calling — not even the call-out fee you'd pay elsewhere just for us turning up.
Any lock, cylinder or hardware we fit is covered for a full year. If it fails, we come back and sort it.
If something we did isn't right within 90 days, we come back and put it right — no quibble, no charge.
Real problems, real outcomes — from locked out in Armley at midnight to a landlord in Headingley sorted over the phone on a Sunday. Read more customer reviews →
"Snapped key at midnight, in by half past."
Snapped my key off in the front door coming back from a night shift in Armley. Rang at gone midnight expecting an answerphone — spoke to an actual person, and the engineer was outside within about 25 minutes. Got the broken bit out, had me in, no damage to the door at all. Told me the price up front too.
"Came home to a forced door — made it safe the same night."
We'd been broken into while we were away. The locksmith got us back in, fitted a new anti-snap cylinder there and then, and boarded the broken panel so we could lock up properly for the night. Calm, kind, and didn't take advantage of the situation price-wise.
"Sorted my tenant out without me having to drive over."
I'm a landlord with a couple of flats in Headingley. Tenant got locked out on a Sunday. I authorised it over the phone, they checked ID, got her back in and invoiced me. Took the whole thing off my plate. Will be my first call from now on.
"No call-out fee actually meant no call-out fee."
Locked myself out in Huddersfield, rang round three firms. Two wanted a call-out charge before they'd even quote. All About Locks didn't, gave me a clear price, turned up fast. Refreshing, honestly.
We keep a limited number of engineers on the road per area, so at busy times — Friday and Saturday nights especially — the nearest van can get booked up quickly. Ring as soon as you can and we'll give you a straight answer on when we can reach you. No inflated promises, just an honest ETA.
Type your postcode and we'll search for the nearest available help. We cover Leeds and roughly 20km around it — every LS postcode (LS1 through LS29), plus Bradford (BD postcodes), Huddersfield (HD postcodes), Wakefield and Harrogate, and all the towns in between.
Because we're a mobile, service-area business with no shop to drive to — we come to you. Areas we regularly cover include Headingley, Horsforth, Pudsey, Roundhay, Chapel Allerton, Armley, Bramley, Moortown, Alwoodley, Adel, and all surrounding West Yorkshire towns. We also handle emergency locksmith Bradford (BD postcodes) and emergency locksmith Huddersfield (HD postcodes) — see all areas we cover across West Yorkshire.
Straight answers to the questions we hear most. For more, see our full FAQ page.
Our target is around 30 minutes across most of Leeds and inner West Yorkshire. The honest answer depends on where you are and how busy we are — if you're on the edge of our patch (say, out toward Harrogate or Huddersfield) it may be a little longer. Tell us your postcode when you ring and we'll give you a real ETA before we set off, not a guess.
Correct — there's no charge just for us turning up. You only pay for the work, and we quote you a fixed price before we start. No call-out fee, no hidden extras.
Most of the time, yes. We're trained in non-destructive entry — lock picking, slipping and bypassing locks with the right tools rather than drilling. Drilling is always our last resort, and if a lock does have to be replaced we'll tell you why and what it'll cost first.
Gain entry starts from £65, with no call-out fee on top. Across West Yorkshire, emergency jobs elsewhere often land between £150 and £250 once call-out and out-of-hours premiums are added — so getting a fixed price from us upfront, with no attendance charge, usually works out considerably better. You'll always know the price before we begin.
Don't take the risk that someone has them. We'll get you back in, then either change or replace your lock or re-key the cylinder so any lost or stolen keys no longer work. We carry quality, insurance-friendly cylinders on the van, so we can usually sort it on the same visit.
Our honest target is around 30 minutes for most of Leeds and inner West Yorkshire. We tell you a real ETA when you call — based on where our nearest engineer actually is and current traffic — rather than a number we think you want to hear. If we say 30 minutes, we mean it.
Yes. We regularly attend tenanted and empty properties for landlords and agents across Leeds. We'll confirm authorisation and check ID before opening anything, and we can invoice on account. Call us to discuss your requirements.
Every engineer is DBS-checked, uniformed and fully insured, and we're approved by Checkatrade, TrustATrade and SafeContractor. You're letting a vetted local professional into your home or business — that matters most at 2am.
24/7 emergency access across Leeds & West Yorkshire. No call-out fee. No fix, no fee. Around 30 minutes away.
